At Little Sparks Tutoring, your child’s education is in expert hands. Melissa Kraich is an experienced educator and reading tutor who is passionate about helping elementary students build stronger skills, greater confidence, and a genuine connection to learning.

With more than 12 years of classroom and online teaching experience, Melissa has spent much of her career supporting K–6 students in reading and writing. Her approach combines extensive teaching experience with evidence-based literacy instruction while recognizing that every child learns differently.

Melissa brings extensive education and specialized training to her work with students:

  • B.S. in Natural Science & Elementary Special Education

  • 12+ Years of Classroom & Online Teaching Experience: The majority of Melissa’s career has focused on elementary reading and writing for K–6 students in online settings.

  • Certified Teacher: Holds active teaching certifications in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire.

  • Structured Literacy Training: IMSE Orton-Gillingham trained and grounded in evidence-based Science of Reading instruction.

Melissa takes the time to get to know each student as an individual—their strengths, challenges, interests, and learning style. Her goal is to create an environment where children feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and developing the skills they need to become more confident learners.

Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Melissa meets students where they are and provides the balance of encouragement, challenge, and individualized support they need throughout their learning journey.

Her background in special education, structured literacy, and online instruction allows her to adapt learning experiences to the individual needs of each child.
